Savannah's squares, the Sea Islands, and wild horses

Savannah's 22 surviving oak-canopied squares are best read from the air — America's first planned city, 1733, the largest National Historic Landmark in the country. Then south to St. Simons Island and the Carnegie estate ruins at Cumberland Island, where 150 feral horses roam the only access-by-boat national seashore in the eastern US.
