Three gateway airports to the world's first national park
Yellowstone has three major aviation gateways: Cody to the east, West Yellowstone to the west, and Jackson Hole to the south. Each opens a different face of the park. Cody is Buffalo Bill country, the easternmost approach over the Absaroka Range. West Yellowstone (KWYS) is the closest to Old Faithful and the geyser basins. Jackson Hole is inside Grand Teton National Park itself — the only commercial airport inside a US national park — with the entire Teton Range filling the western horizon on takeoff.
