Five national parks across the Colorado Plateau in one tour
Utah's five national parks line up in a rough arc across the southern half of the state — Zion, Bryce, Capitol Reef, Arches, and Canyonlands. Three of the five are reachable from this journey: Zion from St. George, Bryce from Cedar City, and both Arches and Canyonlands from Moab. The whole tour can be flown in two days at a relaxed pace, or in one if you push. Density altitude is the universal consideration — every field elevation runs 4,500 to 7,000ft and summer DA pushes 8,000+. The desert basins between the parks make for some of the most distinctive flying in the lower 48.
